Update on CTX screen issue.

Last week my CTX developed a grey streak on the left side of the screen. I was hunting today and then it dawned on me, it was gone, WTH!!! The quote was $190 plus shipping, I was going to ship it in after this weekend because I wanted to use it on my 3 day weekend. I got home, turned it on, it's back! I'm wondering what in the world is going on here. For some reason I decided to turn the back light off and sure enough it doesn't show up when the back light is off. My thought is, I don't hunt with it on, so, I think I'll wait to send it in for now. I'll call Minelab Monday and describe what's going on with my machine and see if Marty has any idea what's causing it.

If anybody, Marty will make sure you're taken care of. I'd sent my CTX in and had it back in 4 days - but that was a simple problem for them - I was having a lot of Duh at the time. They also repaired my Etrac - which was also my fault. They had that back in just a few days after I accepted the repair involved.

Ding ding!! I ain't no detector tech but that sounds plausible to me. The backlight thing is weird though....good luck Dan. NOBODY wants to be without their CTX,especially if the alternative is not hunting.
