Update on Michigan get together!

Wow, I am sure glad to see all the interest in this hunt! I guess Its going to be on June 21st at the Saint Joesph County Fairgrounds on June 21st. I am also working on some extra sites that are here in the town of Centreville or very near to it as I feel the gas price crunch too I think the easiest place to meet up would be at the Court house on Main Street as its the most visible place in town and has plenty of parking. The court house is only around the block from the enterance of the fairgrounds. I will try to PM all the folks here who have shown interest in this hunt to keep them informed on dates and times, speaking of which is 9 am an OK time for all of us to meet? I wanna make sure you all have time enough to drive safely to this hunt, if thats a problem let me know and I will make arrangements especially for you! I want to be able to hunt many more years with my Tnet pals! If I miss anyone with the PM's please let me know and I will get right on it to make sure they have all the info they need. I also will help if anyone needs directions as there are no real big roads leading to Centreville and lotsa folks get lost lol. Please let me know if there is any concerns which I can help with and I'll do my best to address them.

Is the plan to meet in Centreville rather than Mendon? Also, do you know what hours B & G Discount is open on Saturday's? I've been wondering if they have any of those yellow construction vests left...wanted to add it to my metal detecting gear so I can disguise myself as a worker so people will stop bothering me. HaHaHa Are we talking about the courthouse in Centreville?

...just want to make sure that there is not a onsite auction or something like that going on at the fairground spot on the 21st. Do you know if there is or not? I read in our paper a little ad about centerville auction at the fairgrounds every weekend. Just don't wanna drive all that way and waste the gas if we get shot down. Thanks, Jim

Hey Jim, No worry's, they have things going on all the time at the fairgrounds but still is open to us detectorists! They are having Covered bridge days that weekend in town and if anybody wants to bring there family's along there will be plenty of activities going on to keep them busy while you hunt for treasure. I also am trying to secure permission for us to go to an old race car track on the outskirts of town. This was a popular spot in the 50's and to my knowledge has never seen a detector. I will do my best to gain permission as I have a co-worker who knows the current owner and is kinda friendly with him to give me and introduction so I can see if he would mind if a bunch of us could come out and go over that spot. Can't wait to meet you all and I hope we all have great luck on the 21'st

hey i know im new here and new at this hobby but i have good gear and im getting pretty good with it, i also jsut got a hold of a bigger coil and would love to get in this meeting with you guys, its a pretty good drive for me from where i am but id like to come out
