I don't normally post in this forum usually on the metal detector side, one of the other tnet members saw some of my points and suggested that I post. Well I started when I was 6. I went with my dad to a dig at some of our families land after the sell of that land to the government to make a lake. We were invited to accompany them and that got me hooked. Now most of these were found much later in different counties. Got tired of looking for places to go. So I started swinging the coil again. Enjoy...

thanks man...i was beginning to think i had junk... I wondered if i needed to be in the club or somethin... :laughing7:

Re: My Best Finds

Definitely not junk. That's one heck of a pile, some nice looking older points. Is that a broken Dalton? Very nice, thanks for the look. H.H.

Re: My Best Finds

Great finds.

I don't know how you store them, but it's always a bit scary to see nice points in a pile like that. I'd get a couple of frames and hang them on the wall somewhere.

Re: My Best Finds

Gonehunting - you have some cool pieces in there, and some old pieces. That's a nice collection.

i think so, it was found with a variety of different period points.
And Josh i did have 3 displays but they were stolen so. I hide everything now.

Re: My Best Finds

You're definitely in the club.

What's that huge thing buried in the pile of the 1st pic?
Will you lay em out for us and take another pic.
Sorry for the late reply. Looked at it a couple time but just too busy.

Thanks Yank.

Re: My Best Finds

I would still put them on frames. My alarm system is not that expensive, 30 bucks or so a month. They are to nice not to display.

I've thought about it several times but man i lost some really nice points and other things. They were too easy to carry out in those cases. I had 3 calf creeks all made out of that white cream colored chert that ya dream about. They were all found spot sifting and were very fine. I also had a fulsom my dad found and he is gone now. Thats just a few. Those were in the 1 case, and i lost three. Thanks though for the wtgs its something I really used to love doing, thanks again. Evan

Well it is mostly my fault. I showed them off at the museum at my town and 3 days later while i was gone, They were taken so live and learn....thanks for lookin. I still have some good places that have remained a secret but there is only certain times of the year i go due to the rattlesnakes and poison ivy. Most of the ones you see are spot sifted. some were surface collected. Evan
