*UPDATED WITH PICS* 1863 CANADIAN DIME??

Have a few questions about this coin,my brother found it today while were out metal detecting.

it is probably a 1863 right? and why is there a hole in it with rust around it? cant imagine someone wearing it as a necklace ecspecially with a steel chain?? last question, is it worth anything more than melt down price.

I just posted about this in your todays finds post

their wasn't any dimes made in 1863 just 1858 then jumps to 1870
