anyone know any good campgrounds or areas to prospect and camp in the U P.....me any some buddies from wisconsin and minnesotaa are looking to do a trip for a weekend.. thanks any info would be great...

Well i dunno about elsewhere but in michigan it is illegal to prospect designated trout streams so be careful there but there are a few places in the northwest part of the UP where i have heard of people finding gold id check with the dnr they might know of some places

You can pan in any stream, there are guidelines set in place my the nrc but there are no MCL's regarding gold prospecting in michigan
