not surprised at all..I find tons of photo albums -etc on house clean outs.......old photos are worth $$...even 1960s..70s...80s...especially if unusual/funny/etc things are happening in the pic.......take your camera to some of these abandoned places..often its the most random item that is worth the most............(like the stuff in the link I sent you....)

Can't get your attachment to open.

Why not see what your local historical society or local museum knows about these folks? They were well-to-do enough to have sat for studio portraits. Could be that they were well known in the community

Nice find.

have to do a lot of investigating... and find out how to contact my local Historical Society

I love old photos! It is amazing how many people got their pictures taken while they were upside down! (Just kidding!)

Keep those photos coming. I have several albums from a dumpster dive that are awesome too.

HI BOB!

bountyhuntergirl86 , These are some very cool finds !- the photos look to be 1880's or so from the dress styles - You have a fascinating
adventure on your hands !!!- when you can , find out where your local historical society is (public library may be helpful here ) Any names
on the back of the photos or in the album could be researched online or again with help from reference librarians ! Get excited this is a
really wonderful find ! County tax records (city hall ) may shed light on who the former property owners were , possibly going back for
many years - this information is public ( do you have access to metal detect this property !) please keep us posted !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must have been a fad. Having pictures taken while standing on your head.:laughing7:

Seriously, the album and pics are really cool.

You could have something here... Definitely worth further investigating... They look almost military, imagine if you have a photo of some rare known general or something... Have you found any writing or text on any of the photos or in the book. If you do I'd love to know what they said... Awesome !!

Keep @ it and HH !!
