Hi Every one, I have come across some thoughts. I noticed in one of the posts that a fella found three (3) diamonds in the gravel around man hole covers.

My question / thought is: What about the vacuum cleaners at the car washes? Think about it. Women drive, they usually go to the car wash to vacuum out their vehicle instead of doing it at home. They also go to the local "Jiffy Lube" or what ever they call it in your area to get their oil changed and it comes with, "You guessed it!" free vacuum out of the interior of their vehicle. What do you think the guy cleaning up the car wash or oil change place vacuum cleaners do with all of that dust? What if you could get it from them? Maybe make a deal that you will keep it clean from week to week just for the coins?
Hey coins, now there is a bonus. I went through my first batch (of dust) last night. Got one silver 1964 dime and almost $2.00 in clad. I gave the clad back to the guy at the oil change place for his grandchildren.

If you know a little about diamonds, they are heavy. In a Sharooka they will move to the center and be seen when flipped over.

You are probably thinking - What is a Sharooka? Well it is a Stanless steel window screen bowl approximately 14" around sourounded by a plastic band. As it is tapped into the surface of water the diamonds and other heavy items will center themselves into the center. I'll try to post pics. tomorrow if needed.

Next thought: Is the city street sweeper strong enough to suck a small diamond off of the roadway. Someone on this fourm said to MD at the site where they dump the gravel out on the ground to get the coins. Well what if you sifted, classified, and run it through a Sharooka?

Just my thoughts.

Thank you Jeff of pa.

Do you think my post should be moved to that post?

NO NEED or I would have done it. Just thought you'd like to read about others doing it also

I get my second batch of vacuum dirt from a car wash some time this week. They lock the vacuum to where no one can get anything out. I talked with a lady today that said that she has vacuumed up a diamond ear ring before and just figured it was gone.

I'll post results if there are any.
