I like songs from several other female artists more, but for my money, purely on vocal range and quality, Aretha was number one. What a set of pipes. I could feel my neck hair stand up when she’d turn loose on the high notes. I loved her in the Blues Brothers too.

Thanks! I forgot about Lou Marini; walking on the counter, wailing on that sax while wearing a filthy apron. That movie was loaded with so many cameos. They got rid of more cop cars in that movie than any defund the police group could.
