Dowsing? Really? Golly. Anyone who can find things by dowsing is wasting her or his time here: go to the JREF and demand they give you their US$1,000,000 prize. It will take you about two or three hours, tops, and you will be fabulously wealthy afterwards.

According to the JREF, between 1964 and 1982, Randi declared that over 650 people had applied. Between 1997 and February 15, 2005, there had been a total of 360 official, notarized applications and applications continue to pour in!

Those numbers show conviction on the part of dowsers. However, how many times has Randi accepted just 1 dowser demonstrating what they can do on their own terms, rules etc Would you like to take on that question?

Why is it that JREF is so afraid of the dowser setting all the rules, conditions, and methods of their dowsing? It is the dowser doing the dowsing, not JREF. The way the rules read, especially rule 2.6, it is like the patient, (JREF), telling the doctor (The dowser) how to do the operation. Not acceptable. I AM THE DOCTOR (DOWSER) AND I DICTATE THE RULES, METHODS AND CRITERIA FOR MY DOWSING DEMONSTRATION (OPERATION), NOT JREF OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. What's even more disgusting is so many skeptics won't even get close to an "L" shaped coat hanger or wire, let alone pick it up to see if dowsing works for them. Are they afraid they will "POOF", suddenly turn into a pumpkin or something?

thanks, Les and Art. The donations is the way to make a living off some other sucker to keep from working.
i saw Captain Randy on television once and did not like his attitude then, and i expect that by now he is really jumpin'.
we have to give him credit though for knowing how to fleece the suckers. all these skeptikals are like the two daughters of the horseleach crying, Give, Give. just blowhards.
