Today I found my first silver coin since July! It is my first Mercury Dime and it is a beauty! I also found a Civil War US Belt Buckle, and a 3 Ringer! All of this came from the same park as the 1787 Connecticut Copper and the 1809 Half Cent. I was so excited when I found all of these.

Did you hit the buckle with your digging tool?

Nice finds there...and ya know, I like the look of the beat up plates just as much as the pristine ones. So much history there!!

No it was cracked and a small piece broke off while cleaning the dirt off of it :sadsmiley:. It is still cracked if you look carefully. The arrow on the back was already broken off. I found it in the hole while checking it after pulling the buckle out.

Congrats on your first merc like that bucke to...

Every time i see a piece of history like that i wish that it could talk. Nice digs. The Merc is in good shape

You done good! Really nice assortment of digs.

Awesome buckle and some silver too! The weird aluminum thing in your video is a pipe cleaner/tamper.
