Well after yesterday's down poor we had,I thought it would be a good ideal to hit some places that I have hit in the past. The 1st location was an abandoned field that had a house or a business at one time right next to the train tracks. Not much there but a few spikes and trash. The next location was only about 2 mins. Drive down the rd. but I thought it would produce a little better. This spot had an old house at on time. The only thing left is a concrete pad in an open field. I found a couple if wheats, Canadian cent, fake kids toy gun, fabergette perfume bottle and a USAF pin. Thanks for looking....

Seabees, That was a nice hunt, congrats. I would definitely hit that place again. Your "gem" of the day is the item you are calling "USAF pin." It is actually a genuine USAF Air Security Police badge, worn by base law enforcement officers. Probably post-Viet Nam era. Cheers! Sub 8-)

Yes, it's an Air Police badge, and if memory serves me right, it was used during the mid 1960's.

Thanks for the info. Do you think there is anyway i could look up the person this Badge belonged to with the ID numbers ?
