Do any of you use a usb microscope? I have trouble seeing hallmarks on jewelry and would also like to be able to see more detail on worn or corroded coins.
Any input such as brand , cost ,pros and cons would be appreciated

Thanks
Dave

Most claim high magnification but the last 10x is digital, not optical so the picture is not going to be nice and clean at the high magnification levels.

I have a Dino-Lite digital microscope. I LOVE it! it brings out the errors on coins and all perfectly. The first one I had for over 10 years and I just bought another for my daughter.

I have one as well, a Celestron. No issues with it at all, and perfect at high magnification - no distortion whatsoever.

So if the optical magnification goes up to 30x then supposedly the digital magnification of 10x will take it to 300x and this is not of much use and blurry.

I am using large magnifaing glass, i also have clasic optical microscope. Gosh, i feel old now. Got to order one from Cihna ASAP.

I just got one off of Amazon. Plugable brand. $39. I just got it and haven't experimented with it much. Gary
