While it may appear that the United States Forest Service is ramping up its war against the miners, as the following letter written in 1910 by miners of the Swank Mining District near Liberty, Washington and addressed to then Secretary of the Interior, Richard Ballinger, crimes perpetuated by the United States Forest Service against miners date back to the establishment of their agency.

Interesting read M.E.G. I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same. Even back then there were those that had a habit of exceeding their authority.

the USFS is excedding their job description and authority ! if a person is cited for these (usfs) ideas , then youll need to sue the individual that cited you seperatly! if one of our empolees go beyond their job description and push their wacoenviromental ideas off on you , you can sue them personnaly and the usfs lawyers aren't obliged to represent them. If they do represent them , you could protest it because we all would be paying for their illegal interpratations of the law!
