FDR on USS Gilmer. Possibly evening of 7/1/34. Annapolis, MD.
And there's Eleanor in white waving goodbye from the rear seat of the sedan.
Looks like John Aspinwall Roosevelt two to right of President glancing down.

My mom and stepfather have read many books about FDR and his life, as well as many other historical figures's auto-biographies, and hence passed on the love of reading to me as well. Also work for a contractor for the US Navy as a sub designer, hence we learn all about the different battleships, destroyers, subs, carriers etc that have been built throughout the past 100 years. That photo is of FDR with 2 of his sons: Franklin JR II and John. Typed "FDR and sons aboard USS Gilmer" into google, and found this old newspaper page for you.
Nice purchase. ..ps rare and nice photo; hang onto that one.

I am sure Montauk would not mind if I spoke on his behalf as well as mine and offered you a sincere "you're welcome". Best of luck friend..
