I'm going to Utica,NY this weekend,any upstaters have any tips and any detecting sites to hit?

I don't know about detecting sites, but the Utica Club Brewery is in Utica. They used to give tours of the brewery and had a tasting room with a player piano.

Stops along the Erie Canal. Don't know if there are any around Utica open for MD, but I know there are walking/bike trails along the old towpath. To find a lock or old foundation would be a good site to hit.
