V.F.W Marble Tournament Award

[Hunted out]

I recently found this at a yard sale in a bag of junk. I realize there is a "what it's worth" section on this site but assumed they would refer me to this section. I was wondering if anyone could give me some history on this medal and the value it may have. Thanks so much for any input. I value any information you have.

Until someone pipes in - I searched Google and found...Marble Tournament Medals "...All these styles are now reproduced in sterling silver. All original medals below have a naturally dark patina unless noted..."

thanks for the info vpnavy, I also googled it and found some of the same info. I was just wondering if it was an original because it is not marked sterling and it doesn't look like a reproduction. one of the sites I checked said the originals were stamped like coins, and mine appears to be stamped like a coin. the detail is very sharp. the sites you gave me were helpful, thanks for the info.
