I have been asked to look for a lost lady's ring for a friend. It is gold and was lost 23 years ago. It is in a 20 foot by 20 foot area with a lot of junk and an buried electrical feed about 20 foot away. The V3i gets very chirpy in this area. This "noise" improves when i turn the sensitivity from the preset 7 to 4 but I am afraid I may be missing targets. The bright side is I have found 2 silver rosies while searching. Any suggestions on how to improve my odds?

You should be fine at sense on 4 for depth unless there has been soil added to the area. You can quiet it way down by discing out everything but the gold range plus and minus a few. Also try different filters if the emf from the electric line is driving you nuts. It's not going to ring up in silver range unless it's very large or is a very high K gold. Good luck! In a known 20x20 area you will find it!

Dig all the targets and it will eliminate their noise. Also used the 4 x 6 coil

If the ring is white gold it could ring up in foil range. Good luck.

Thanks a lot. Will try again later this week

I have to agree if it is 20x20 dig all the pull tab signals too.

I have found if i am in a real trashy or mineralized area I'll run at 55,60 rx 3 or 4 as i hunt the area more I'll try bumping things up. Good luck
