I dug this, what looks to be a Fireman's tongue to a 2 piece buckle and looks to have been run over , and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about it, and how old it is? Dug on the outskirts of Richmond, VA. Thanks

I can't help you but I like it a lot. I'm a retired firefighter.

What an amazing historical find BiggE, although it does look to have been run over by a wagon-wheel. :icon_scratch:
I'd be inclined to find someone who knows how to work with old brass, as it needs to be heated before attempting to flatten it out.

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto,

That's a great tongue piece.
There a people that know how to work straightening pieces like that.
Don't try it unless you know how. It will crack and break.
Worth having it done.

I'm also a retired FF and love that piece.
