Valentine's Day Hunt With Buckleboy

Decided to go out for a bit of metal detecting since it was so nice out. The fields were a bit muddy, but I managed to pull out some great keepers: a bunch of pewter, a neat pewter piece from a spoon with an "E" scratched on it, a pocket knife, a buckle, a silver button, and A BARBER QUARTER. :icon_sunny:
That's my second silver ever.

Buckles as usual made some killer finds too.

Here's the pics of my finds:

That Barber is awesome. Looks like the day it was minted. And 109 years old to boot. Awesome relics..

You've got to hand it to BB. Getting a lady to think wading through the mud and cold and digging in the ground is romantic is quite a fete! That boy knows how to treat a lady! :D :icon_queen:  Why didn't I think of that? Really nice finds even though you were blinded by romance! :-* M :icon_scratch: nty

Re: Valentine's Day Hunt With Buckleboy

Great, great hunt. My favorite American coin, right after the Walker 50 and the Standing Liberty 25 is the complete Barber series. When in the States, I found a few of each denomination. I think my first was a 50 cent Barber, and of course found more dimes then any other.
I still like to see them being reclaimed from mother earth.....they do her absolutely no good.
Yours is in such superb condition. Put that one away for a rainy day. 8)
Good job, and good post.
