thats allot of great info. You may want to buy Jeff Fosters new book, The MXT Edge.
All the info in one place. And just when you think you know the MXT, you read this book a learn a whole bunch. www.fielddepth.com if you are interested.

Thanks for that information, I will check it out. Instead of implying that I have mastered the MXT, I should have phrased it "on my journey to mastering" !! Always learning, and welcome any info.

An MXT would be nice to have, but I would rather have the 442 in your avatar pic! A '69-'72 Olds 442 has long been my dreamcar.

Actually I was referring to myself, thinking I had the MXT Pretty well figured out. But after reading this book, I discovered how much more there is to it.

Musclecar - Thanks for the valuable information link. Picked up my MXT in November, upgrading from a Whites Classic ID, and I am truly impressed with its capabilities and depth in both the coin/jewlery an relic modes. Still need much practice discriminating gold from trash and the Florida soils are heavy in mineralization, but the MXT isa true winner. 8)

Great Info,

i had found this site,
http://nevada-outback-gems.com/MXT_files/MXT_basepage.htm
which is the same data and it helped turn on a few more lightbulbs in my head as far as using my MXT....
