value of old foreign coins? (non-North American)

For the life in me and as big as the ol' web is... I can't come up with a good website to give me current values for non-North American coinage.
Most of us have something we'd like to look up and search. Dose anyone know of websites I can look into?
I guess I need mostly European coinage. I have a few of old foreign (think they'r silver) that was given to me by a passed family member many years ago. Most of it is mid to late 1800's.

Chris--this is one of those cases where a good old-fashioned book is the solution. The subject of world coins is pretty big and the info will probably get onto the Web, but not yet. You might consider investing in a copy (new is pricey, $10 used is probably just as good) of Krause Publications' book Standard Catalog of World Coins. Many libraries also have the book. A catolog will be able to give me more detailed info most likely. I'll look for a Krause Publications. Thanks!

Stoney, you did good! I think his values are fairly current and shows a lot of differant coins and countries. Most of what I was looking for I found though I did have to email the guy with a pic of one of mine that didn't quite fit with his German Empire coins.
