I'm heading to Vegas on Wednesday of next week for a wedding. I'm going to try and squeeze in a day of wandering the desert looking for points and rocks. I live in Illinois and have no idea where to start. If anyone has any info on a place to look with ~3 hrs of Vegas I'd appreciate the help. email me or drop me a reply here.
