Nothing spectacular today in a brief hunt but very rewarding. Ive been researching British WWI Army movements in northern Italy since I moved here and got permission Wednesday to hunt a likely spot - the 17th century Convent of San Zeno and found a British tunic button which I can narrow down to either 2/Gordons or 14/ Warwicks!

Nothing like research that leads to results! Great job getting the permission on such a promising spot.

Lovely patina on that old button. Looks like a pinch of paradise on that permission. Gotta' be some ancient relics and artifacts lurking beneath your feet there!:headbang:
