It was 22 degrees here in Dayton today and windy, but the ground was digable. This is a combination of two days of hunting, when Jeff and I should have been inside with hot chocolate.

56 coins =$3.05
1 - Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority Token
1- bottle from previous farm dig-found in pouch today

Any ideas on the bottle? It looks old, glass is not smooth, has some bubbles, "8" on bottom.

It was fun--Even though that old childhood poem came back to us:

  • When your out to get some money,
and your nose thinks it's runny,
    don't think its funny,
    cause its not
not what...? I never got that one. Oh well, I'm probably too cold yet.

Not yet on age. It may be current as it was in a tot lot and not too deep. I may have to take a bus ride to see.

Well you got out in the cold and snow?
What we have here is CABIN FEAVER BABY!
Let's just hope for an early spring so we can get SPRING FEAVER!
Congrads on the finds.

You are a hardy man, even though I wear shorts most of the winter ;D

Is that one poptop in the photo representative of 1,000,000 pop tops or is that the only one you found in two days?!? If it's the latter, I'm moving to Dayton! Oh, to never have to dig another poptop.....

You are mighty brave or something to go out in 22 degrees. Even if I tolerated the cold, I would have to hack through frozen ground and clad just isn't worth all that frustration.

Hope you rewarded yourself with HOT CHOCOLATE! ;D

The little Capezio button is probably from a girl's ballet shoe. They are the primary maker of those things. (At one time I had 3 in ballet classes at the same time.)

The MVRTA token dates from 1988.

NIce finds but I am gonna give it a few more weeks before I think about trying to dig in this icebox.

Nice finds, especially for such a cold day... Congrats!!!
I haven't gotten out in the cold this year, The coldest day I'd gotten out this winter was 37 degrees.
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Thanks for nice comments. That was the cleanest heaviest pulltabs I have ever seen. I will carry it a souvenier.

Sorry: We invented pulltabs here in Dayton---sorry ---sorry don't hate us. I didn't have anything to do with it. lol
