LOL, I noticed your post as well. FYI, I put the 1829 LC in hot peroxide and lightly toothbrushes a few times. It took some of the green off, but it uncovered some of the encrusted details. My LC looked similar to yours after wiping dirt off. I think you have nice details in yours as well.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to give that a try. I love the way yours still has just enough dirt to make the details pop.
 

Very nice indeed! Pretty amazing that a coin can sit in the ground for almost 200 years and come out looking great. Awesome find!
