Very odd magnetic rock?

I found this in the woods in South Western Michigan. There were no other rocks like it. I posted this in the indian artifact forum, but the more I look, I am thinking it just might be a strange rock? Thanks so much for your help.

A magnet does stick to it, although not strongly.

Its odd in that it has some features I'd associate with a meteorite but a lot that just says iron stone. Its not tooled so at least that much can be put to bed. Is there a fresh chip in it *looks like one* and can you get a close up of it?
