I found this wheatie a few days ago and I put it with the rest of my cruddy coppers.
Today I was cleaning it up a bit and I am starting to see some detail.
This thing is corroded right in the center.
I think it is a 1909 penny.

All I can see is a 9 followed by a 0, so it has to be a 1909.

1909 rev.webp1909 maybe obv.webp

Can you see it, or am I just seeing things?

A better look with some notation.

1909 maybe 2 notes.webp

Best of luck on the ID.

Maybe it's just a 90? lol. The earth has seriously digested that coin!

It is a wheatie, so it is not a 90.

Yes, this one is very crusty. The coin is bloated like a zincoln.

My attempt at humor was lost in text. I know the years if the Wheaties and was meaning just 90, not 1990. Lol.

Put it in some tomato juice. Maybe it will clean up!
