Have you noticed any issues with it at all? I would hate to do damage to several hundred $$$ of detecting gear.

I havent i strap my at pro makro racer and digger on it. I havent been out in almost a year.

Well maybe it is a non-issue then. Maybe someone else has different thoughts or experiences???

Put them in a carrying case. I haul mine on atv golf cart lol.

I was thinking about getting a hard case for them with padding and such. I will have to look further into that option. I have drag bags(for rifles) but I am not sure they are padded enough for an electronic device.

I carry mine in the gun rack of my 4-wheeler all the time. I have never had any problems from doing so.

I carry mine in my gun rack on the bars of my Rokon. Gun rack of my truck also. Haven't had any problems with it. Gone through some very rough country on the Rokon with it.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess there is no real issue then. I may still use the drag bag just in case.

There is a photo in one of the Garrett brochures of a detector in a rack on a ATV, If that means anything.

I've hauled my gear around many times and have never had trouble, although I take it easy and try to drive like I've got some sense. That's not always easy for me. LoL

Thanks guys. I guess I was wrong about the vibrations then. That is good to know. I really appreciate the input. Good luck to all.

Take care if carrying across the rack Its wide--I snapped the shaft on my Bounty H. first time out //// Now I shortin it to fit///
