Victorian Gold?? Please help

Got this beautiful ring at an antique jewelry store. The clerk claimed that is was 9k victorian gold from the 1800's. Is this correct? The ring has a hallmark of three xxx's and a sideways w shown in the picture and the clerk did not know what it meant. I would say the ring is probably 7 to 8mm wide and a size of 9 to 10 mens, you can tell from the image that the ring is too big for my finger which is a size 8 1/2.
Please tell me any information you know!

WELCOME to the forum! You certainly made a nice snag with that one since the jeweler thought it was 9K and in reality it's 18k!
