Victorian Watch Winder w/Anchor, Trident & Chain

Found this item in the woods yesterday and didn't know what it was. So I posted it in the What is it? category. It was identified by our English cousin Crusader as a Victorian Watch Winder. Thanks Crusader and may you find that Roman Gold in the next field you hunt!

Thanks for the kind words.

Yours is one of the most interesting one I have seen. I have a broken one in silver, but I like yours better.

I agree that yours is a very interesting type. The nautical motif is fantastic. Are those waves or scales on the back?

That is a fantastic watch key. One of the better ones I have seen.

Waves or scales - that's a good question. I can't tell, your guess is as good as mine.
