Found this vintage badlands souvenier. Does anyone know what it was intended to hold? Also the material is weird it does not feel like wood or plastic but maybe like a resin or something? Anyone know what material this is? Age? Value? It measures about 11in long 5in tall and 1 3/4 deep.

Any info would be great thanks.

Looks like resin or plaster and likely for keys. Or whatever you wanted to drop in the little slots in front. Maybe a 50s or 60s item.

Gives us more information on where you got it and better ID may be possible. Thanks for posting. Interesting item.

Got it at a garage sale in Red Wing MN. The slots are open. Def not plaster.

Maybe just meant as a decoration maybe,no particular purpose. I don,t know if Cedar Canyon is a town or just a locale, but if the former you might try and see if there,s a way someone say in the town administrative offices might have any info on it.

A real quick search shows a Cedar Canyon camp and a Cedar Canyon spa among other locations!
Yes, the plaque is most likely an item from tourist shop made in Japan in 50s or 60s from appearance. The bronc riders face and eyes have that look.
