I picked up this neat looking Stainless Bulova 218 N0 code for 1970 Accutron with a unique day date windows positioned at the 12 and 6 o'clock at a little humane society TS yesterday. It was priced at 8 bucks as is. Very reminiscent of ground pounding Detroit muscle, powerful Saturn V rockets and great music.

That’s a great one I really love the up down day date model. Hopefully it’s a runner for you. Remember the batteries go upside down

Yeah I got it open and everything is good looking and clean inside. I've had a few 218's and they took off with a fresh battery. It seems they're not going for all that much theses day. Hopefully this one will go, because i wanna wear this one from time to time.

I'm very happy. It's a great running 1/2 century old Accutron. Gave it a bath, buffed the acrylic crystal to as smooth as glass and installed the perfect volt battery I got at Rocy Mountain Timezone in Boulder Colorado. As I hoped it would it began to hummm and keeping time. Heck of a deal this one is.
