Got out this AM to a park in Baltimore. Rain helped loosen the soil and it was possible to dig intact thick plugs. Coin total came to $6.12 with 10 cents of that in wheats, the oldest being 1911. Dug one silver quarter, IMG_8023.webp

a 1960 Washington,

a stainless steel letter 'P' pendant, IMG_8024.webp

a 2-piece fashion button,IMG_8025.webp
and the very last hole gave up a very deep sterling ring, mangled by the bulldozer, and missing its stone.IMG_8022.webp

10 wheats and some Silver is a good day out to me. Congrats on some nice finds.

Nice finds! That ring is pretty cool. Congrats! :icon_thumright:

Thanks vpnavy. Do you have any info to share on York Co. Rec and Parks metal detecting permit? I looked at the website but the form seems more geared for facility rentals that for detecting per se.

Thanks RVRoamer66. Yes, the wheats started to add up after awhile. I have done well with silver at this site. All of the ones I've dug have been 20th century but a buddy dug a half dime there this year.

Thanks Whyme. I was excited to see silver jewelry at the bottom of a 9-inch hole. Must have been stunning intact. I'm guessing Victorian era.

Great hunt & like it all, the pendent & button are awesome & pretty cool ring, congrats on the saves & HH

Great hunt 10 wheats silver quartet cool button I bet that ring was pretty nice back in its day
I'd be happy snagging those goodies. Well done my friend. Tommy

Thanks Inspector. The quarter is in good shape. Most of the items I fond were dropped after 1960. If I get my F75 audio repaired I will comeback with that someday and the NEL Tornado coil to see if deeper targets can be heard. Until then, the Equinox stock coil is doing pretty well.

Thanks Tommy. You still movin' to Baltimore?

Thanks Possum! It was a particularly productive hunt and I can't argue with silver.

Some excellent saves. Congrats

Thanks Hawks88. I started out gridding a particular area and stuck with that for a couple hours, but then resorted to hitting a couple other areas, just listening for deeper high tones. Much of the area still needs to be cleared out of modern coins - pennies and dimes.

Very nice finds all around. You kill it in Baltimore. Well done and Go Hawks! ;)

Thanks Washingtonian. Earl Thomas is coming home......enjoy the game.

Thanks Locke. I will have a jeweler look at it to give an age estimate.

Nice job, congrats! :icon_thumleft:
