First time ever picking up a surgical tool what I believe to be still looking for one identical to it have not found yet the maker is Tiemann & co ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431178970.103529.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431178981.855716.webp

Civil war amputation saw, quite a find. I guess it is possible that it was post Civil War, but either way, congrats!

Yes,it is the first time I ever came across one now I just got a put a price on it

image.webpTiemann is one of the larger manufacturers of early surgery equipment. They made high quality stuff and is very collectible. Here are a pair of flesh removal knives for amputation prep made by Tiemann. I bought them along with a few straight razors last year. It took me a while to firgure out what they were but once I did.....Pretty scary stuff!!

Whew! Great Find......I think. ;>)

Anything in the house now moving around or making strange noises? (Now that Topic question might make for quite a new Thread!)

Interesting find, for sure!
