vintage wrench

Found this at an old home site. Can anyone identify it. I looked up cresent wrench and nothing came up like this one. i know its missing a part or two but nothing looked like it. The hole in the middle is like a cross shape.

Very early adjustable, I don't think it's a Cresent. maybe a Wiliams?

I agree, but I've never seen that design having two pieces
sandwiching in the adjustable parts. Doesn't seem like it
would be very durable.
