Virgin Confederate Site packs a BIG Southern Punch

Hello Guys, this post is the result of a weekend scouting hunt with my buddy James Bibb. The location was a prospective site we were looking at and so we went to

do some 'prospective' digging...all the while knowing that a handful of Confederate buttons had already been found at this site. After putting a few detectors down

to the ground, we quickly realized that this site was virgin we thought, and mostly Confederate as we were hoping for. Sites like these are definitely a treat and

few and far between. This represents the best of the finds from a very long day of digging.

Hey there's my old buddy, How've you been Col..good to see you. Yeah I talked to Jeff a couple of days ago, he's getting into a fantastic little Civil War camp in Missouri also.

Damn...you weren't f'ing around were you! Great buttons!!

Thanks Romeo, trust me it wasn't a give me by any means. We dug hundreds of targets including can slaw, farming equipment, nuts, bolts, scrap tin and brass, square nails, horse shoes etc etc. What's in the hand is the best of the finds.

It doesn't get much better than that Josh!

That is true, sites like these are very few and far between...we were definitely digging with purpose!:laughing7:

great sassy molassy that's a lot of history!!

Great site, great pics., and a nice BIG handfull of Military. (something I find very little of.)

Good job.

Would have to pack a lot of underwear to hunt a site like that ...... guarantee almost any of those buttons would have required a trip to the creek and an underwear change. Beyond words hunt right there.:notworthy:
