Visiting Guildford/Surrey

I am visiting Guildford for a week on a work trip, I was thinking about bringing my detector, but would only really consider it going out with someone local. Anyone in the area want to go out, or would consider being a local 'guide' for a small fee, letting me know the legalities and also taking me to some good sites?

I don't know about Guildford, but I live a little south of you (Moore County) and it looks like we use the same machines (I have a White's DFX). If you are looking for someone to beach hunt with, let me know. I just bought my Excel and SandShark within the last month and haven't made it to the coast yet.

Ok, I guess I will leave the detector at home. I wish we had more contacts with international folk, would be cool to swing a detector when out on vacation!
