I'm not sure if I should print this here, but..... at night when it gets quiet, I can hear what seems to be the television playing. I can't quite make out any words but I can distinguish between male and female voices. Sometimes this happens before sleep and sometimes I awaken and hear it. I go into the room with the t.v. in it and it is always off. I have turned off EVERYTHING in the house and still hear it. No neighbors close enough to interfere. I am compelled to check it out. I can't just ignore it. I have to go look. No voices where the t.v. is but I hear it in every other room, and it always comes from the same room. Sometimes I go on the pretext of checking the thermostat, making sure the door is locked, etc. This is for the benefit of my wife. And by the way, she never hears a thing. I quit discussing it with her just to keep her from ribbing me about it. Any thoughts or experinces like this?

I also hear murmuring of male & female voices, and a child singing; can not make words, etc. Wife & I know this place is haunted (old UMC parsonage) and have NO fear. We get along with and are very protective of our "ghosties". ONE "scientific" explanation is that certain fillings in your teeth (Silver? Mercury?) will act as "receivers" for RADIO broadcasts. I "favor" the POSSIBLE residual "haunting" explanation of EMOTIONAL events of the past playing over and over as on a tape. MAYBE you just have HAPPY "ghosties" there who are just curious about YOU... like we are, when we go to a zoo, looking at strange animals. Get an EVP "inspection". Coffee?

Yeah... Get a EVP Inspection; "google"... "Electronic Voice Phenomena". "Madison Co. Walker" may be able to do it. I think electronic equipment is calibrated to pick up audible frequencies beyond human hearing or something like that... NEVER done it. "MCW"had or was in several "threads" on this "child-board", check it out! Coffee?

I hear it too! Along with foot steps, doors opening and closing and my daughters bf swears that he saw some one walk past 3 upstairs windows. I go so far as to walk thru every room to see if kids have left a radio on or somthing. Also did a evp at Brick Church grave yard in SC the results were scary! Here all I seem to get is a hum and ac kicking on and off.

My home was built in 1792 - I also had heard what I thought were voices and music playing - almost as if a radio was on somewhere in the house. After investigating, I determined that the sounds at night, where caused by a combination of an electric fan (with metal blades) and the trickling of water in an aquarium - it was amazing the sounds they made together caused harmonics that my brain interpreted as voices and music. I'm not ready to close the book on EVP but in some cases, there is a physical (worldly) explanation of such phenomenon.

I agree %100 most times it can be explained but sometimes there just is no rational explanation. When I was at brick church we photographed several orbs, a screaching gate closeing sound on evp along with the words get out a few moans like in pain and the sounds of little children laughing it all depended on where in the grave yard I was. There was also a 30 degree temp drop just outside the back gate also where gate closeing sound was recorded. The gate wasnt touched nor never moved. These are just a few of my experiences.

MY experiences with "ghosties" indicate the following... "they" are ELECTRO-MAGNETIC beings, who are MORE active when ALL electric appliances in a house are shut off; WHY? BC it would interfere with "their" manifestations, why MOST "ghost shows" WON'T get a "performing ghost"... LOL! SOME of the "ghosties" COULD be "deceased" kin of ppl, making a "appearance"
of sort... AND! COULD be "deceased" former owners of the house/property, "checking in/on".
