Vosberg? Eastern NYS Chert?

From same field as Aurora1959's recent post/find, Finger Lakes Region of central New York: this beauty appears deep purple-ish to brown, with a straight edge, thin blade (1/4 inch), nearly flat cross section, small notch forming a weak barb. I got it as a Vosberg, my first !, and made of some eastern New York chert. I don't think it is good, ole gray on gray Onondaga Chert. I like all the fine flaking across its blade to thin it.

I just love fine flaking on glassy lookin material....I Noticed you’re a teacher, What subjects did you teach,?
