That cross with the lords prayer is pretty cool.

You have good lake management. They're supposed to lower our lake Dec. 1 but they always wait too long. They start on Feb. 1 and by the time it starts to go down the rain comes and up it goes. Haven't been able to hunt the lowered levels in 2 yrs. Grrr! Gary

Well worth the wait, congrats

Congrats on a great bunch of finds !

I'm not really a serious Jewelry hunter but they just started lowering a local lake that has a 80 year old Camp on it.
There's a small beach with a diving platform at the camp.
The water's only gone down about 2 ft. so far but I did find a real nice Sterling Ring - a Sterling Necklace and approx. (15) newer coins last weekend.
Should be a lot more out past the diving board area - I'll go back in a few weeks and hunt it again.

Good Hunting !

Nice job!! One of favorite places to hunt for sure, muddy, nasty and cold, but always good stuff coming out of the mud

Nice! I always get excited when a local lake or pond is lowered. You never know what you might find out there.

why do they low the lakes, fish management ?

They lower the lake to do dock maintenance. 2 of these rings are tungsten,1 is hematite, 2 silver and 1 stainless. There is another beach on the opposite side of the lake and Im going to try and get permission from the park that owns that one.

What a great opportunity and great finds! :icon_thumleft:

Dock maintenance, Dam repair and in anticipation of more water coming in with seasonal rains and snows.

Interesting, so the drained water is channeled elsewhere via dams/connecting streams, thereby raising the levels of other lakes, or perhaps overfill areas that are dry until they drain the lake ?

Where I live there are a chain of reservoirs and they send water downstream to next and so on and into canals for irrigation needs and eventually to the ocean.

WOW! Awesome jewelry finds! :icon_thumleft:
