Well Baldingboy and I haven't been out for a long time (a week). We needed to tear up, I mean detect some more yards for good stuff.
Sadly we were out of good spots to go. :( :'(

We went to a few places we had hit before and we just didn't find anything. So I told BB we should go detect the local Golf Course because I was sure NO one had detected there. "NO" was all he said. Then I suggested the Pristine Lawn of a historic home in Cape. "NO" was all he said.

So then I suggested we head back to the place where I found my Eagle Button and he found his bullet. "Well" he said, "I guess we can do that." So we were off. We pulled up to the location and I noticed someone at the house next door to the other mentioned location and I have been wanting to detect that house SOOOOOOO BAD. So BB told me he would get out and ask the guy if we could hunt it. You should have seen the man's face when BB jumped out of the car in his clown suit and size 36 shoes!!!!! ::) I don't know where his TuTu went but the clown suit was a nice touch! The man must of been afraid of clowns because he pulled out his mace and sprayed BB in the face. So I jumped out in my Ring Master suit and with my whip and chair got the guy under control. ::) After that the man said we could hunt the place.

So we did. I ended up with three wheat pennies, a 42 Merc, a 43 Walking Liberty Half, a 10 K GF Girl Scout ring, and some other items of interest. Now mind you we are close to the CW site so please look at the other relics and let me know what you think.

Thanks

Larry, I'm having a hard time looking at your other finds....my eyes are drawn to the Big Silver! ::) ::)

Nice job!! How deep was it? Did you know it was silver before you dug it up?

Congrats on all your finds!

Cowboy NO it does not fit. :-\ BB almost beat me up for it. I JUST cannot find a solid gold ring. :'( Still a cool find but thought it was a class ring when I first dug it.

Thank you Nick I aim to please. Only one band but the number on it is P-511. Cannot track that, not federal.

DD-777 I'm not to sure how to clean it any more without damaging it. Any suggestions?

Captn- That thing was 6 inches deep and YES I KNEW it was silver before I dug it. The Pro coil is a Worthwhile investment. I have to go back because I KNOW there are more targets amongst the iron. I think there was a stable there at one point during the war and I got a ton of iron signals and some blips that I didn't have time to sort out this trip! So my next hunt is all metal and dig everything!!!!!

Gee it looks like you guys had a great time again! Those are some very cool finds!

Just for the record these are MY finds. Not Baldingboys. I don't know why he hasn't posted his stuff. He found a couple of cool things too!

ME - try your local jeweler - otherwise, maybe some simple jewelery cleaner. If anyone has suggestions let's hear 'em...

Nice hunt....you must have had baldingboy sedated. He behaved himself this time.

I think the mace might have taken the wind out of his sails. ::) ;D

racing piegons maybe on the band

ME I looked over your items for civil war items. I found three that might be and three that are for sure. Possible buckles in that era. Abe on the copper items is Civil War for sure. :tongue3: Congrats but I wish the silver would of been under my coil. ;D

Very Cool! Great Hunt!

I have an idea it was more the big shoes that slowed BB down than the mace. I imagine he had to swing his coil much farther away than he was used to.

Sounds like BB is getting kinda picky about where you guys hunt. No golf course? No pristine lawns? Next thing you know he will refuse to hunt cemetaries too.

I am still looking for the zipper pulls in the pictures. Can't seem to find any.
Been detecting around an old school and in a deep creek valley alongside for a week now, and still no zipper pulls there for you either.

Glad you guys got out to hunt together, it makes for some solid entertainment for the rest of us.

Good Luck,
Mark
