If you dropped it in water and didn't get the batteries out of it immediately, it is more than likely toast. If it opens up, remove the batteries, open and look at the printed circuit board for corrosion. It happens very quickly with salt water. You can rinse the board in water to remove salts. Dry it thoroughly with hair dryer. If it is corroded you can brush off the fuzz with a toothbrush. Once completely dry install new batteries to see if you fixed it. Most people freak out about rinsing a board but as long as there is no power going through the board it is fine. Make sure there are no batteries installed on the board itself. When these boards are soldered up they are put in a type of "Dishwasher" to remove the solder flux then dried and tested. Worth a shot. As of now its toast.

Thanks trdking, will give it a shot.
