Hi all, a friend and I went back close to where I found the plate yesterday and pickings were slim. I did make one nice eyeball find which I guess is an indian tomahawk of some kind .
Can any experts chime in? It is blunt so I thought it might be a war hammer but maybe I watch to much tv. lol
Thanks for looking and HH. :coffee2:

interesting for sure

Thanks much VOL 1266X.:icon_thumleft: I will shoot him a PM.

I wouldn't be the one to know, but Very nice find.

Hi Birdman. It appears to be a small grooved axe. I can not tell if the grooves align though as the normally do or see if it has any pecking or grinding or possible use wear. It could also be a geo fact or naturally occurring shape. With out clearer pictures it is hard to tell. I would post it again in the North American artifact section and when posting do close ups of the grove and the bit end.
Hopefully you have found what many seek and I am not talking about that stellar plate you dug either! :tongue3:

More likely a nut cracker than a war hammer.
