War of 1812 button haul

I spent a few hours at a site with known War of 1812 activity and dug all signals, came upon a spot that was loaded with iffy signals and found a lot of nails and these buttons mixed in. These buttons are primarily War of 1812 Artillery Corps regiment military coat/cuff buttons, also included are a few US general infantry buttons (some of the buttons are in rough shape but considering they are 200 years old not too bad).

Holy smokes! I've never seen that many early military buttons found in one hunt. And, the condition of them is great. Congrats! I especially like the script buttons.

That is one heck of a haul. I've never come across 18 of anything (other than pull tabs and beer cans). One military button would make my day.

What an awesome haul. I felt blessed to have found one 1812 artillery button last year. I can't imagine the thrill of finding over a dozen military buttons.. Great shape for some too. Congrats!!
