Does it look to be fluted? I would probably have that beauty repaired! Great find even though it is broken!! :thumbsup:

fluted means there is a flat spot carved out on the center, bottom sides of a point, which is common practice on a clovis. I wish I had an example but I havent been fortunate enough to find one yet :(. Maybe someone else on here will be kind enough to post an example.
 
Here is a fluted Clovis. In my humble opinion Fluting is just a nice word for a big flake or flakes removed from base to make halfting easier.

Nice Dalton piece. For the record, late Daltons are also commonly "fluted".
