It’s my first ever coin, I was hunting for Arrowheads in Chesapeake Bay and I found a coin just sitting on the surface of the mud/clay. It’s pretty far gone. I tried electrolysis but so far all I have is a possibl 67 on the bottom. I’ll post a pic, but I don’t have much hope for ID. Still exciting!

Cool find! Could you try to get some better pics? I can't see anything on these ones, but maybe DCmatt will come along though and work some of his photoshop magic...

Those are the best pics I could get of it. I’ll try again and post if I do.

Cool find, welcome to old coin shooting! :icon_thumleft:

Try taking the pics on a darker background. Your light background is making the coin dark. Gary

Took some pics after I cleaned it, ran it through an ultrasonic cleaner and electrolysis. Any help at all would be appreciated.
