Thanks to everyone here and finding watches, I started looking into them. I started looking for them at yard sales and estate sales. And I think I'm starting to have a new obsession! So now I bought some at an thrift store and want to keep them. The better two, there's an omega and a bulova. Then I like pocket watches too. And I bid on one on eBay. I got it in the mail thinking it's a full-size pocket watch and it's like the size of a half-dollar... Great! It's tiny... But I really like how it looks... 14k. Beautiful workmanship on the case I think. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1440214931.226875.webp

So here's my watch collection. I have $250 in the gold pocket watch one. $35 in the gold filled one. $5 in the 18k universal geneve and nothing in the other two. Since I sold the rest that were broken and $250 in the clock. (That I have listed)

I know there's a lot of websites out there on watches and stuff but what do you guys feel are the best ones. Because next time I sell a $20 item for three or $400 I will probably buy another pocket watch but I want to make sure its something I know more about... I want to tell the history and as much information as I can. Because these things are cool! Thanks!

Buy the complete price guide to pocket watches by Gilbert engle. That should have everything you need as far as serial numbers, model, photos, hallmarks and just about everything you need to know if you want to collect pocket watches

Thanks, I'll check into them.. However last night I'm sitting here going through our budget and I realize were saving up to buy our house so I don't think keeping watches at this point my life is a good idea. I want to but I need to provide for my family which is more important than a watch I suppose.. So I'll just keep pocket watches then. [emoji355]️[emoji353]️[emoji389][emoji813]️[emoji788]

It is still a good tool for research purposes, the website that is.
