Right under my nose, I have found a painting that has some history. This is a water colour painting in a frame. The frame has a plaque on it that says, F. Reynolds R.I. I can see that there is a signature on the painting, hidden by the frame. The painting has had some water damage. My minimal research informs me that the artist may be Frank Reynolds and RI stands for Royal Instsitute of painters of water colours. How do I go about finding more about this painting. Is it indeed a treasure? I welcome your feedback and ideas about what to do next? image.webpimage.webp

Frank Reynolds was a WATERCOLOR artist,If yours is a watercolor the R.I. most likely mean's what you said( as he was a member or founder )..One of his watercolors sold at auction in 1995 for $405.00,That was 19yrs. ago! You can check artprice indicater online or buy a new ADEC-Art price indicator book,You can check your local library in reference as MOST have a large section of such book's...Hope this help's!!! HH ALL!
