I wear dive booties 3mm. don't need anything thicker down in S Fl.

Might have to try them out.

Whatever you get make sure your get a hard sole! Check out the yellow pattern ones. Boots

I have a GREAT combo. Surf booties with KEEN water shoes a size or two bigger. Hard sole, comfortable.....awesome combo.

I go to Sports Chalet and get the Body Glove. Just got my second pair as back up so I can go two days in a row and have dry booties when I put them on. $69 per pair and make sure you get one size larger than you wear. HH GFP

Thanks for all the info. Just ordered H2Odyssey 3mm Caymans.

if youre hunting in warm weather - 3mm is good
if you plan on hitting when water is colder - get 5mm and up
I hunt cold New England waters = and use 7mm
but I have thinner ones for when I hunt Fla. and carribean

You need a heavy soled water shoe for fresh water lakes. Lots of things to hurt you, bottlecaps, fishing lures, rusted cans and broken glass. I go through a few pair each summer, so in off season, I look for nearly new pairs in thrift shops.
