Did a short hunt yesterday to the grass parking area at a festival grounds and found a lot of coins, but all were clad and most were pennies.
So today I got the go ahead to detect more in the swimming areas at the scout camp. The water was cold and the sun was only out part of the time, so it was not the most fun comfort wise, but I did get a pile of clad and a few other things. 3 game tokens used as loot when the cub scouts have a pirate theme at Camp, 2 hammers, fishing sinkers, stainless steel washers, nuts and bolts they used to use to assemble the floating dock, 3 aluminum rivers, a brass connector, a clevis pin and one lonely pop tab. The clad total for 6 hours was 173 coins or $19.03. This camp has produced a lot of coins. I know some scout leaders have done a few hours of detecting here and there over the years, but I am probably the first person to really seriously hunt the property. Lucky me!
Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.
